This book deals with the researches and life of the famous Polish astronomer, Nicolas Copernicus (1473-1543), who was at the origin of the theory of heliocentrism (the Earth revolves around the Sun and not the opposite).
The author, Jean Czynski (1801-1867) was a Polish lawyer, writer, political essayist, independence activist, utopian socialist and radical democrat and a strong supporter of Polish culture.
