Two 12mo (166x92 mm), (8)-xv-(1)-616 pages / lxiv-(8)-630-(4) pages (errata of volume I bound in volume II).  binding : Contemporary full calf, gilt-decorated spine in six compartments. Volumes with slitghly different gilt ornements. Good copy. Upper cap of volume 2 finely repaired. 

references: Heirs of Hippocrate [709 (ed. 1712) :" Hecquet was a member of the Iatrophysical School (see No. 496) and was an ardent defender of the mechanical theory of digestion, which he expounds upon in the present work. The treatise became quite popular so Hecquet expanded it in 1730"].
