The first scene representing Neptune lying, surrounded by Loves players.
The second features a group of young women who have captured Cupid and his quiver. Some flogged him, pulling his hair and one stepping forward to kill him.

This engraving probably stayed in the Baudelocque family, there is a handwritten note on the back of the frame: "The great Baudelocque who gave his name to the birthing center at Bd Port royal. E. Brandicourt". As well as an announcement of the death of Madame Brandicourt née Baudelocque.
